Indian population is huge so the immigration in various countries have huge number of Indians that it's visible. Any issue occurs, the people of that country tend to blame immigrants without even thinking it through. Since Indian are visibly a lot in that category. The hate.

Now for something even I hate, some Indians migrate and carry their "no civic sense" attitude to the other country also. It's annoying enough that they do it here. Do they have to carry their disgusting habits elsewhere too? They are adding oil to the fire.

Give it sometime. Speak to your parents regularly but not on this point. Try to convince something like you're the one I respect and all but I will never go against your decision. Also, try to speak to someone who is elder in your family who can try to convince your parents and your parents can listen to them. All the best! I hope you'll work it out.
