I don't think it's too hard to find people alike in terms of dietary preferences. I smoke and drink and find myself alone many a times in small corporate gatherings. Have had folks vice versa as well. Have also had friends from aviation who are tea totalers.

But none of it restricts our capability to socialize. Find people with the same mental wavelength and you should be just fine.
