RE 440 mostly because the older RE 410 Long Stroke engine was pretty good except for a few issues with some reliability and other design limitations. The reliabilities were fixed eventually but the design limitation remained. One of them is the engine running at higher rpm leading to poorer fuel economy than what could be achieved with an LS engine when cruising. They made two changes, which solved the issue: to bore out the engine instead of altering the stroke and add an overdrive 6th gear. The added advantage of the redesign is the added heavier components to address the refinement issue and fix the minor reliability issue also; which I hope they would have done.

So, you get great fuel economy for cruising, a very reliable fun engine that delivers most of its torque lower down and all of these come at a much lower price tag for a well-tested and matured machine. The point is that since the bore has gotten larger, it can produce more torque without altering the cam profile or adding a free-flowing exhaust and filter combo. The LS410 used to make a good torque and this one makes a bit more. I suspect they could have extracted more torque and power, but they are going for a more well-rounded engine here and that's good overall.

But if you don't know or care about these things and want to get what's hip right now, get yourself the Triumph 400x. In my opinion, I would be hard-pressed to buy the Triumph because of the jump in pricing from T4 to 400x for literally "no change" whatsoever and it is some apple-like pricing jump. When companies price an 'inferior' product of the same class lower and the 'superior' product of the same class higher, they usually try to milk the profit from that higher product with great marketing; I would rather not play that game. I think the T4 Triumph is the best of the lot of the Truiumph 400s, and I would pick the Hero Xpulse 210, Scram 440, or the CB350 RS for the given price bracket between 2.0L and 2.5L.

Correct me if i am wrong, but it has been portrayed that people belonging to adivasi/sc/st eat pork and buffalo meat that could be a reason why majority of people in those times did not eat it and it might have continued through culture and tradition. Beef meat has been a controversial thing in hinduism in past who knows how many years in this region. It is pretty normal though in north and northeast india even in hinduism.

Both are scramblers and are extremely different. Only a test ride can solve this for you. Scram is only 25 bhp and is super torquey and will be a breeze to ride in the city minus the heating, also seat height is very low for this kind of a bike.

The 400x is taller, wayy faster and quality is very good and It will shine on the highways. Also it's about 60-70k more expensive, so they are not even comparable in terms of class.
