I mean is it really? After watching Marco, someone asked me if the violence was disturbing for me, I said nothing we haven't thought of doing to our enemies and he looked at me , paused and said "Psycho".
Which got me thinking, it's not just that you imitate something you see in movies, you have the capability to stomach that violence, which you had before you watched the movie. The movie might have given you a new idea on how to be violent, if it wasn't that one, it would be something else.
Same goes for suicide. Our world is surrounded by violence, you go to a butcher shop, you see the peeled head of a cattle,you hear the chicken crying for life, then you see the chicken's neck getting slit.
Mainstream media's news on crimes, to the details these news go on how it was executed.
Now back to the point, movies don't corrupt you, what is corrupted is easily influenced.
It's usually the family and friends that corrupt you.

Why was I okay with violence?

I grew up in the middle of violence, my father, my grandfather , great grandfather were all ruthless towards people who messed with them. And people used to bully me but I was quiet, harmless. Then I realised people don't mess with me when they know they can get hurt, so I never held back my punches, never let the thought that my actions can end a life hold me back. I had no bad habits apart from an uncontrolled temper. By the time I hit 18, my mom begged me not to follow my dad's footsteps and embrace the education they gave me. Me being a mama's boy, promised that unless someone attacks me first, I won't raise my hands. Now I am married and working a corporate job, living in an apartment.
The HOA's president here tortured me like hell, legally I am helpless, that triggered my traumatic memories, all I wanted was to just smash his head on the edge of a wall. But the promise and the thought that I will be throwing away everything I worked hard for, keeps me in check. I am not alone there are thousands of people like me, who might be just worried about the consequences than the act itself.

I know some people who have just bought the cheapest superbike they could without accounting in the repairs and the spares cost, and now they just sit catching dust.

What many people don't understand is that, unlike your regular bike, owning a super bike is a huge commitment. Of your time, patience, and mostly money!!

I agree with everything you mentioned, especially the attention part and the cops. I always have to keep 1k in cash whenever I take my bike out just to bribe the cops!
While many people love the attention they get with a superbike, I hate it and avoid it as much as I can. Mainly because I feel guilty telling no to people who ask me to revv it or ask me to sit on it for pics.
And I never ever take my bike out when I know I have to park it and be away from it even if it's for a matter of minutes.
