Most plausible explanation I found for this is it's a sensor housing for some parts and it's just vent for those sensors to cool. Because my 2007 Hondacity has it and does not come with Automatic Climate control . And doesn't even have a Bluetooth system so not a mic too. Or maybe Auto AC was a feature in foreign countries but they didn't change dashboard design for India and just kept it like that.
