My family including me have owned the following brands, BMW, VW, Hyundai, Tata, Maruti.

BMW: super expensive, but my father has been a customer ever since they officially launched in India, so the service quality and experience is extremely stress free. Annual maintenance is around 40-50k, surprisingly same maintenance cost for my X1 vs my dad’s 5 series

VW: my father had owned a Jetta and a Vento, he hated the service station so much, we started giving the car to a local mechanic. Annual maintenance used to be around 10k if I remember correctly, this was back in 2013-2014

Hyundai: Not expensive, but service centre experience on par with BMW. No stress, nothing. Technicians are nice to explain everything in detail. They might not have leather sofas in the waiting lounge like BMW, but the behaviour of the staff is impeccable

Tata: absolutely trash, I hate it. I want to burn my car down because the service station experience is pathetic. Many of the technicians can’t even communicate in English properly. Super cheap service.

Maruti: Kinda like Tata, very mid experience but they actually fix your problems and make sure the car is running well. Not much to complain about but not much to talk about either. Super cheap service.

Congrats OP! Ride safe. Do get a helmet which is at least ECE certified. The cheapest ece certified helmet, you'll get is of Axor, mt, smk. And for gloves and jackets you can look up, Rynox, tarmac and axor as well.


And for the heat, my dominar used to heat up a lot before the first service. After the first service, it got reduced. So it can be the case for your dominar as well.
