A valid question, but on what basis are you claiming that travelers in Bihar don’t purchase train tickets? I’m attaching the 2024 earnings list of major stations in Bihar, which clearly shows that people are buying tickets.

The real issue is that the Indian Railway Minister is extremely neglectful towards Bihar. In the last 20 years, there has been negligible progress in terms of new tracks, the number of trains, or station redevelopment.

The main reason for overcrowding in Bihar’s trains is the lack of sufficient trains, whether for intercity or interstate travel. Such improvements largely depend on lobbying and the vision of local leadership, which we currently lack. Additionally, people here don’t demand better facilities. When citizens stop demanding, leaders become complacent.
