For the sites that "recovered" - i.e. had this classifier removed - didnt change their content or SEO tactics.

For genuine evaluation:

1. The link profiles are "interesting" - with a lot of people having 50+ links from wikipedia
2. All either had ad sense or affiliate
3. there are no "over-optimisation" penalties - except keyword stuffing
4. Nobody is really about to evaluate backlinks - unless they know specific link farms, pbns etc
5. HCU seems to be a site-wide classifier

When I ask Perplexity - it leans on the Google "black box" that the content wasn't "people first" and it leaned on EEAT even though EEAT isn't a factor.
