Yes, while every school in India has English as either the second or first language, considering every child studies English. What's the need for Hindi? It's an additional burden on the student and adds no value.

Secondly, the states which have 3 language policy lag behind TN in GER and other educational indicators. Given that TN Has already reached the goal of NEP to improve GER to 50% by 2035, the whole country should actually follow the educational model of TN.

Regionalism and Nationalism has nothing to do here. A lot of Expats settle down in TN. They don't feel any different. TN is medical tourism hub of India. TN gets the highest number of tourists domestically and internationally in the country.

I guess it's actually the arrogance of vadakkans to expect the local people to know their language. If they are moving to TN it's their duty to assimilate with the local people and culture by learning the local language. And they shouldn't expect wherever they go the people of that land to speak their language.

I use reddit and twitter ocassionally. No whatsapp, no social medial.
My policy is simple; if you really want to get in touch with some one you can pick the phone and call them or send them text.
I still have all my banking online in apps with smartphone(ios).
No social media=no scrolling.
i sit idle in public places and my mind is purged from thoughts feels fresh and ready for new challenges after

Can’t trust service centres

Took my 11 month old Thar RWD Diesel for its first year service with 10,500km on the odo. Went to one of the best service centres in the city and things looked good at the start.

I have a habit of being around my vehicles when they’re being serviced, just watch and see if everything is being done properly. The service person brought a 6 litre can of engine oil and initially that didn’t ring any bells. Then I recalled reading the service manual and it stating that this engine needs 5L of engine oil only. I enquired with the mechanic how much oil would he put in and he said all of it 😒. Told him this engine needs 5 L and he straightaway claimed I dont know anything and need to go wait in the waiting lounge. Like wtf!

Took this up with the service manager, with the service manual in hand, I asked him to ensure no more than 5L oil goes inside the engine. Even the service manager claimed it’s 6L and they won’t risk putting in less than required engine oil. I showed them the service manual and they claimed it’s probably a miss print 🤦‍♂️

I mentioned you put in 5L, check with whoever you want. Call whoever you want. They filled in 5L and upon checking with the dip stick after doing the due diligence, and guess what, 5L is the perfect volume. I asked them now imagine all the vehicles which were supposed to get 5L but their genius put in 6. What’ll happen to all those engines? He obviously didn’t have an answer.

All the servicing videos I saw on YouTube also had put in 6L engine oil in their 1.5L diesel engines. What a wonderful world where nothing can be trusted.

A request to everyone, kindly read the service manual and owners manual of your vehicles. Excess oil in my case could’ve ruined the whole engine, and I for sure want my thar to last!
