I’m in the mindset now. Been living away from home for the past 5 years and every time I go home it feels like the time flies super fast. I missed my nephew’s childhood. I’m missing my parents’ twilight years (god forbid) It’s just that I can’t stand the heat, the pollution, the political climate, the insane corruption, the communal issues…I’m just rethinking what to do. I agree with all your points but I’m just having an internal struggle what to do. My job role isn’t such a specialized job that I have plenty of opportunities back home nor would I have many wfh roles possible. Sunk costs fallacy of getting here also is playing a part in my indecision.

I have registered pvt. Ltd in Bihar but the saddest part is..by banning alcohol they have been imposing tax and everything be it stamp duty everything is for businesses only.

There was an incident when I needed 1000 stamp paper, I got through some influence but some aspiring NCC cadets (sipahi bahali) including young girls were protesting for Rs.7 stamp paper outside the district court and the form deadline was the next day still the authorities shut down the counter (window) and the employee was on duty who passed me that stamp paper bcz he got call from his senior that someone is coming for 1k stamp paper.

And many more instances through which I realised why there's so much corruption and habit of paying under the table for literally everything. As I was very young and hailed from a rural background I had to opt for a top down approach for opening a current bank account.

And the list goes on...sorry don't wanna rant. But I hadn't any option apart from starting there. So, I had to bear everything.
