The mindset of chasing predetermined growth and financial goals, such as school marks, college admissions, marriage, or buying a home, does not work beyond a certain point. Things start to get blurry, priorities increase, uncertainties rise, responsibilities change, and growth means balancing and compromising one thing for another. Maintaining this intricately balanced state or improving everything simultaneously is not feasible for 80% of people. In a capitalist, competitive, and tricky world, people will always find ways (right or wrong) to step ahead of the rest (the remaining 75%). Not everyone is physically or mentally equipped to pursue all those means, and some may even be unethical.

However, comparing oneself to others (often outliers), making assumptions, attaching unreasonable or unproven goals to attain that state, grinding excessively, burning out, risking existing stability, failing to live in the moment, and eventually ending up depressed has become all too common.

They surely work well if you look good, have a decent build and can make a conversation.
