I used to work in Telco for 20 yrs and I have been using iPhone since 2008. For me it is the simplicity of the user interface and the build quality.

I upgrade my iPhone every 5 yrs, currently using iPhone 12 and previously iPhone 7.

My wife uses Android and I have seen performance degradation post 2 yrs. No doubt Android phones have great camera and some have amazing resolution. She prefers Android over iPhone.

So at the end it’s a matter of choice for each person.
