BAsically what Musk is doing is illegal, a special government employee doesn't have the kind of authority he has actively displayed. If Musk isn't the head of DOGE... what he's doing is extremely super illegal, like flagrantly breaking the law with no cover whatsoever levels of illegal activity.

I think the issue here is how involved Trump is. If Musk is head of DOGE... Trump is in trouble. If he's not it is mostly Musk... but Trump is just going to pardon him anyway because law and order are meaningless concepts.
