I spent around 4 years in Europe for my masters and work I have never faced racism but this one time a lady said
"You're pretty handsome for an indian" this got me wondering are indians that bad looking? Or they perceive we stink and look bad because indians are poor and unhygienic. My family always warned me about racism but all I got was compliments. And for the UK/canada part I think racism exists because indians go abroad expecting higher pay and good position but in reality it's difficult to get job there so before the stay back period they try to find menial jobs which most of the native popular does, Indians are hardworking than others so employers prefer indians. So when the native population has difficulties and when the country is going through a recession then the immediate response of the native people is to blame it on immigration. I think that's why racism exists and some indians lack civic sense.
