The real problem is that most people are unhappy with the way the taxes are being used.

The salaried class which can’t get away from paying taxes bemoans the excesses of the government spending , its terrible execution capacity, and is forced to watch with utter helplessness while all the rich junta gets away without paying anything.

There are two things that the central govt can do to improve the situation:

1. Force the state govts, who are actually responsible for carrying out everything that actually affects the citizens in their day to day lives, to provide an accountability report of how the taxes were spent to each and every tax payer.

2. Weed out the tax loopholes used by farzi businesses, wealthy farmers, and corrupt netas.

Knowing how the Indian democracy actually works, I’m sure,sadly, none of these will be implemented.
