No hate, but majority of the Indians moving abroad belong to the general category. Reservations mean the average general dude is choked at every level where he must progress, especially if he is from a middle class family (as is the case these days in urban cities. Most of them are of the same economic strata. Some have reservations, some don't). Such a person would rather clear some foreign exam, get scholarship/loan and pursue his career abroad where the market is TALENT BASED.

India needs reservation, but it is not really helping the ones that need it. The ones using it are just next gen settled families taking advantage of their quotas. This has resulted in a generation of mediocre engineers/doctors/scientists etc....and has forced the more capable person without reservation to be encouraged to move abroad.

Consider my case. I'm a post mbbs. I've written usmle. Awaiting us visa approval. The delay of visa arrival is making me nervous otherwise otherwise I'm not afraid of the racism that I may face there as long as the job market is "skill based matchmaking"

Again, no offense to any1. I'm not against reservation. Just giving a major reason why most talent is moving abroad and often ending up succesful. I'm just saying india needs to conduct a fresh census to recategorize people so reservation can serve it's true purpose - to uplift the underprivileged . And reservation shouldn't exist for higher education exams like neet pg, mba, masters etc...
