Personally, my problem is that three languages are too much to learn. A lot of my friends (and myself) struggled till 10th just bcz of two language subjects.

This is my controversial opinion - Being literate in two/three languages doesn't mean you are brighter than the guy who is literate in only one. It might be essential for literature folks, but to STEM and other streams, anything except English is a waste of time.

A lot of students are already overburdened due to comp exams like NEET, JEE, etc. and have to start preparing 4-6 years prior to the exams. Let them focus on things that will get them somewhere in life.

I don't agree with even with two languages, non-english language subjects are useless societal demands that serve only one purpose - 'preserve the culture'.

As for learning the languages to make your life easier, you can survive in TN with just spoken tamil (which you will learn at home). Only a small fraction of people actually migrate to cities where hindi is necessary (you don't need hindi in Hyderabad or Bangalore).

Let people get to college and decide which languages help them advance their career. For this, I am absolutely in support of a law that mandates colleges and universities to provide wide range of language electives (these parasites should be made to spend on these things after looting so many people).
