The media ecosystem is over-bloated. It used to be that any given person only had access to a small handful of local sources. Just so that it pleases you. I'm born and raised in Mumbai. 3 generations have been there (Mom's side). Currently in Bangalore. Wife is from Kottayam. Ive begun to hate the toxicity of Mumbai and most metros. I kept telling my dad that it was about time he went back to Kerala as his motive of being in Mumbai was fulfilled (work etc). He passed away last year in Mumbai. So now here I am, having bought a fairly decent parcel of land in Palakkad, Kerala (where my wife moved back to tend to her mom) and trying to make my way back there. I've got some land in Thiruvalla too which I plan to set right. I feel the future belongs to places like Kerala which has so much to explore and develop, besides offering escape from the maddening crowd. You're thinking on the right track, just that you always have the option of coming back home even if you do spend some time outside building your retirement corpus.

For a solo person living alone, i would recommend the societies also to be you know bachelor friendly. Lately there are many societies in noida who are creating a lot of drama over renting apartments to bachelor. The more bigger name the more issues will be there.
If budget is not an issue to you then go for bigger names like cleo county, mahagun mezzaria, prateek edifice
But if you want a good society where majority of the people are bachelor’s then would suggest sec 76 amrapali silicon city, princely estate ,golf city.
These societies have good markets available too and you wont be disappointed in it

Get fresh air in your house, we Indians sometimes have habits to close down every door and window at night to deal with mosquitoes and pests, but carbon monoxide build-up is extensively known to cause hallucinations, your whole household seems to suffer from the problem so look into keeping your house properly ventilated.
