  1. My phone can breathe, feel stressed, and has a heartbeat—guess I’m carrying a pocket-sized human!

Pretty sure even the most expensive of apple watches can do this. They are all optical sensors aka uses light to detect.

Doesn't matter if it reads info from random objects. What matters is how well it is tuned to adapt and read human info.

Just because your watch shows heartbeat on things does not means it's fake

It's just the light reflection of the green light of the watch. The light is actually meant to hit your blood cell and reflect back on the basis of which it calculates bpm

Now it also does it for other things which are able to reflect the light in a similar time frame
Now different sensors might have faster or slower catching speed and lights

  6. What's the sweet spot for traction for a pre-seed company?

Only pitching 1-2 VCs is a joke. Even if you could you should still pitch several. Couple of reasons:

    - You’ll refine your pitch every time you do it
    - Most will say no, often without any good reason
    - Many are momentum driven so once you have a lead it’s way easier to get followers, but finding the lead is hard
    - If the first convo ends in a yes, you should still pitch more to make it competitive and “hot”
    - If anybody does even hint at a yes, ask them to lead. Saying they’ll invest if you find a lead is not the same as finding a lead

Sorry to ask what might seem an off-top question... Why do you want VC $? That will create a million times less enjoyment than any co-founder...

The best possible position is to get customers to fund your investments into product development - ie: sell a vision then build it.

So. If you want to spend time building your product ... What's stopping you from selling the vision to a few customers? And getting paid to build it?

Revenue, customers, vision. VC's love momentum, great stories that are infused with deep passion and a clear vision for scaling the business

At a certain point people refuse to be helped and the only way they'll learn is to let them hurt themselves.

It's unfortunate for the people who voted for Harris.

standardizing the dialect doesn't mean using it all the time lol, it's more so about giving it a status where people wont feel ashamed/belittled speaking it, ive seen telangana politicians speak both ways i dont think they care about "oh let me just make sure i say paisalu instead of dabbulu" at that moment notiki impu ga em anipisthe mind ki em vasthe adi matladatharu. konthamandiki andhra telugu alavaatu konthamandiki telangana telugu alavaatu

  20. Best Place to Hire Developers for a Startup (with Business Mindset)?

    6 months
Do you have a development background yourself?

Waterfall is pretty dated and I would think most developers are familiar with and probably performing to some extent "agile" development which is what you're talking about. However, "agile" at a large company is much different than a startup. Large companies still have quarter/year long release plans whereas startups may see adjust plans bi-weekly according to customer / market feedback.

If you want to hire developers you can go to upwork but you will have a difficult time unless you already have experience hiring/managing developers. If you don't you really need a CTO who can vet someone in an interview, review code tests, etc. I would also say with upwork hires you'll have to be a lot more hands on with code review, guidance, etc.

You're point about new developers is well taken. I think a team should have at least 5 seniors before considering taking on a junior developer. And there honestly may not be a reason to have a junior dev at a startup. You'd be better off finding 1-2 really strong developers. If you can find 1-2 senior level devs from FAANG type companies that would be best but they won't be cheap however may come down in salary for decent equity. These are really engineers though and work independently with little technical oversight, just make sure they are working the right problems.
