I had issues moving from m1 mini to m4, which came with Sequoia & the monitor wouldn’t work at all via the same Thunderbolt > DP cable. So I tried a HDMI cable but it wouldn’t reliably wake up without unplugging/Re plugging. I then bought a a ugreen 8k Thunderbolt > Display Port adapter. I already had an 8k DP>DP cable I got with the monitor and had never used. This works perfectly, so I’d suggest you try the same thing, although you’re probably better off just getting an 8k certified cable.

One has to win the candidates tournament to challenge the existing world chess champion(Ding liren) for a fight to the title.

Candidates is an 8 member tournament.

Both Pragg and Gukesh participated in the candidates.

Gukesh won the candidates tournament(youngest ever to do so) with a solo lead, he also defeated Praggnandha in the candidates.

Pragg did not have a great year, hopefully we will see him in better form next year.

if he can't pay then back, realistically.....his so called 'friend' will probably go the violent route to get it back. That's how it is when drugs are involved. That 'friend' is probably connected to lot worse individuals.

Your best bet is to, help him gather up that money somehow, the amount owed is not on the high end atm.

As for his addiction, that is a separate matter of it's own for which you will probably have to tell your parents and get him admitted to a rehab.
