Flat owner threatened and assualted me
Landlord cannot add any amount after the agreement has been made that's the whole point of agreement. You should have paid rent as per the agreement instead of withholding the entire rent amount with you. Landlord cannot ask you to leave without giving a notice if you are paying rent -
A great war would be great for Neets
Well let's see, a lot of us would be dishonorably discharged, fail the physical test, fail the psych test etc. They discharge you for not ironing your shirt. They discharge you for having a wank. They discharge you for a lot of menial things and if us NEETS cannot handle work then there's absolutely no way we'd be able to handle the military life.
Also, you'll find in war a lot of social services do get cut because the government will divert the money and say it's "for the war effort". Welfare, IIRC, was made in response to the aftermath of WWII because people might've has fervour and morale before, but they soon realised war is not a glorious thing. It is a tragedy. Old men, old politicians who would never send their families off. They would rather send the young and naive to die. Much like that quote from Niko in GTA IV. War is where the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other.
And if the war is serious enough, people with disabilities are unfortunately some of the first to go because these services get extreme cuts. That's the reality of it, good sir. War isn't good for anyone involved. -
History of migration in Kottayam and Pathanamthitta
Rural/Interior Kerala Property Prices especially in Kottayam, Pathanamthitta will crash
This is an opinion and a prediction, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and many other Kerala Real Estate is general over priced. It needs a price correction. It's just like an overpriced stock.. Trivandrum, Kochi, and town areas of Kozhikode are reasonably priced.
Many places in interior Kerala are overpriced. Look at Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Wayanad and Alappuzha. In these places properly prices are incredibly overpriced.
After 30 or 50 years these big bungalows NRKS (Non Resident Keralaites) made will be sold for 40% below market value.
Why is real estate so overpriced in interior Kerala?
Usually, real estate prices al a particular place, go high because of underlying economic development & jobs that come with the same.
E.g; Bangalore, Mumbai, London, Silicon Valley & Toronto.
But in Kerala, in most of the places, that's not the case. A lot of places in interior have high prices despite no economic justification.
When jobs & economic development come to a place, young people from across the country or world are attracted and come there for jobs, which again pushes the property prices up. New jobs attract youngsters with well-paying jobs which pushes prices up.
There is increased economic confidence in that area, which makes people invest more and create even more jobs, which again. increases property prices, this cycle goes on till a bust.
E.g. Bangalore & Gurgaon or even Trivandrum-Tech/ IT Industry, Manufacturing, and other Offshored jobs, attracted a lot of workers from across India.
These workers bought homes in the city/outskirts, made new enterprises and there is a hope of more businesses starting in the future increasing the prices
But Kerala's situation is somewhat different - it's kind of unique; even in interior Kerala where there is a dearth of good jobs and lack of any new industries and businesses; (where the local population goes to other Indian cities/GCC/Western Countries for jobs) and even the local youth want to emigrate asap and there is a very high youth unemployment rate (at least 40%), property prices are high....
One reason is, remittances and people's emotional attachment to buying a property.
There are lakhs of Malayalees in Gulf Countries and West; the first thing they do when they get rich is to buy a palatial home (which may not even make any financial sense) It's an emotional issue; buying a home in their own town.
The mass influx of foreign cash into Kerala's real estate means property prices went super high. Kerala's real estate industry benefited a lot from the Gulf Boom (1970's to 2015)
So in many places - even without much underlying economic developments, Palakad, Pathanamthitta,
Kottayam, Malappuram, etc; property prices are very high because of NRI Remillances.
When a Malayalee goes to Gulf/outside Kerala/even WESTERN Countries, the first thing he does is to buy a big home in his/her hometown or buy even more property, this is why when you travel across Kerala you can see thousands of independent big houses it's an emotional thing to make that big purchase; it shows that you worked hard to get a big house.
But Gulf Malayalees usually return back to their hometowns after retirement (even though their kids may go out of native towns for work/ abroad)
Malayalees have one of the lowest investments in mutual funds/other investment schemes, property is also considered as an investment.
Malayalees in other Indian Cities or Western Countries; rarely come back to retire in Kerala, unlike the ones in GCC Countries. They reside in other
Indian cities and Western Countries give citizenship to them. Even though they may not come back to Kerala- especially to an interior place where their kids will not get a job/have future prospects.
WHY PRICES WILL FALL IN Interior or RURAL Kerala?
RURAL Areas of Kerala?
1. Land Prices are too much inflated by NRKs and NRIS
Past 50 years extreme amount of money have been pumped into rural real estate in Kerala. That prices now don't reflect the market at all.
2. Unlike in the past newer generation of NRKs won't Invest in Kerala to settle back in hometown. They would buy properties in Bangalore/Chennai, Toronto/London and even Trivandrum/Kochi..
3. Even GULF MALAYALEES would sell thier
hometown properites and move to cities due to the dearth of jobs in interior Kerala. Gulf Malayalees who. previously constructed bungalows in Pathanamthitta would buy a flat in Kochi or Trivandrum hoping that post Gulf Life they would be able to get some jobs back home instead of idly sitting. And they would also sell thiet properites back in rural kerala.
4. Youngsters (existing) would move to cities for better jobs.
Even Kerala cities like Trivandrum/Kochi doesn't generate enough well paying IT/Engineering jobs, So rural kerala doesn't stand much chance.
Many of these youngsters would want to relire in cosmopolitan cities like Bangalore or Chennai as they have a chance of getting employment even after relirement. 5. Land and Labour is too costly to perform small. scale agriculture in rural kerala.
Unlike North India labour and Land is very highly priced that agriculture wouldn't be sustainable in small holdings,
Also cash crops like Rubber are no longer competetive to sell in the market.
6. People who migrate to rural kerala are from Bihar/ Bengal but they mostly make money and go back to thier own states.
7. Malayalees who settled in western countries will sell thier properites.
Because once they become foreign citizens there are problems in keeping real estate in Kerala.
Since most western Malayalees will retire in Canada/ Australia/USA/Europe these folks will be even SELLING THIER PROPERTIES in Pathanamthitta/ Kottayam/Kasaragod, This will lead to further crash..
8. Interior Kerala properties is hard to be rented out.
If someone has a house in Trivandrum or Kochi you can atleast rent it out. What will you do with the property in a rural area. Who is there to take it for rent.
9. MALAYALEES ARE BECOMING LESS EMOTIONAL
ABOUT INVESTMENT DECISIONS
In the past most Malayalees didn't invest in Stocks.
They all invested in property. That's changing. Apart from that Most Malayalees invested in thier rural hometowns not for returns but for emotional. reasons- one day I will retum to my hometown etc. That's already changing. Unlike our previous generation new gen is unlikely to have these emotional feelings towards thier hometowns.
Especially considering that these Investments are dead Investments and require maintenance costs.
OVERALL
My prediction is Property Prices in Rural Kerala/ Interior prices are inflated at present and there is a good possibility that it could face upto 30% crash in prices. -

My r3lative sister married guy who is done PhD in France. His family was good and well known to society we went ahead with marriage proposal.
He made trip to India and it was directly to marriage on next 3days. Girl felt bad vibes when he met her actual. She told me to investigate I checked with friends got to know he is still in intern amount which would be less for settle in France and got to to know he is not interested in marriage from his close relations. It was too late to negotiate now Girl somehow told in-laws are good she will be happy around them and married this guy. We kept it secret from family.
Truth unfold now -
He went to France and promised will take her by year. After 6month we requested to arrange a tourist visa to girl so that both can spend time for months. He denied it. We felt something fishy (boys atleast try to be intimate with newly married, it was lacking here) We pooled money and sent her to France for a 3-month tourist visa.
Betrayal starts -
He was with her for 1 week and she got to know he is in relationship there in France and he married by parents force. Parents knew this and told us to let her be with us in India. We denied and asked mutual divorce without alimony they denied.
2years since marriage -
Girl is still fighting for divorce boy stating not able to visit India. We are weak normal middle class family whatever we try to hire lawyer they squeeze us for more money from us. They state to put false allegations. Being teacher and professor family we are not able to make false allegations.
