Other Lucknows
One thing I love about our city is the name.. I love how it sounds. And even the places have cool names.. All the the Hazaratganj, Burlington, Latoush (spelling? ) roads names sound classy to me..
Kanpur mein it's opposite.. Taat mill, Jhakarkatti 😭 -

What’s something you wish people would stop acting like is normal?
Breathing. It would be really funny (and probably nice) if everyone was very happy that they are able to take just another breath and how smoothly their body is functioning. -
Racing on the streets (the lack of tracks and infrastructure)
speaking from a privileged perspective again. dude you are literally living in chennai. south india is the hub of motorsports. of course you will get plenty of tracks within a few hundred kilometers. you dont even have to look for accommodation.
I get the point of your post but it is about the money. if you still dont understand its not about the money then youre delusional to think someone from humble background can do this. doing two-three trackdays in life isnt supposed to be fulfilling. -

Did Christian Missionaries Really Bring Education to All in India? The Truth About Gurukulas and Caste.
Lot of people from my parents and teachers generation (60+ year olds) studied in Christian mission schools, where religious people were in charge of school administration. There were other schools as well, which were typically run by non-profit organizations and trusts (non-christian) in those days. Many of these schools offered education at minimal expenses for students.
With the advent of private schools in 90s and raising income levels, scenario changed.
Many schools from old times started by Christian missions and other trusts exist as government-aided schools today, where administration and instruction is by government teachers.
In short, they probably didn't bring education to India but offered a very good low cost option for common people. -
