    I dont know what influences this. I dont think it’s movies because south people watch everything.

    South people stick to traditions. Tamil Nadu/Karnataka love their language and traditions and they don’t like being influenced by western ideas. Malayali’s are different, cant understand them. Andhra people are modern in terms of life and education but not mindset , i feel the language is dying, a lot of kids can’t read telugu, more focused on English medium and moving to the US, but even with all this their thinking is restricted to caste politics and preserving pride.

    It’s somewhat same to north as well, but not as strict.
