I think in that context Allah is simply viewed pretty much similarity as the supreme consciousness as well as manifest deity—exactly equivalent to Brahman, Shiva, Vishnu, Kali, Krishna, Adiparashakti, etc. which aligns with the way the word 'Allah' is used in Arabic— it does not only denote any one imagination of a deity, but it also simply means 'god'. I think the traditions emphasize direct experience and acknowledge that the absolute form of divinity is beyond thoughts and language—so best to not get caught up too much in divisions and conflict, etc.

It is a shame what communal division and increasing radicalism has done to the people, culture, religion, etc. Bengali Muslims are the second largest ethnic Muslim group after Arabs. The kind of Islam there traditionally followed could have opened a very different avenue not just for India, but the world.
