I was exactly in the same place as you last OP. Sob story aside, unlike an introvert who has never made friends in life, you actually know how to socialize. Which is a good start. My suggestion to you is to start local. Get out of the house and do things. Pune Book fest just happened... You could have went there. Maybe alone. But you can talk to people at events like this. You have to put in the work. You need to talk to more people everywhere. Eventually you'll have friends. May not be the ones you want, but that's not the point. You just have to get out there and socialize.
