You’ve gotta be a bit more “pushy” with your sales. Once they get off the call your chances to close diminish significantly. People forget, change their mind, get lazy, or stub their toe and end up at the bottom of a ravine.

You need to decide ahead of time if these calls are sales calls to you. If they are, then you need to push for payment on the call.

You need to create some form of urgency for them to sell. Doesn’t work for every vertical but you could consider presenting some urgency by selling in “batches”. Might work well in healthcare.

“We are currently onboarding a batch of only 10 clients at the moment to ensure smooth migration to the platform. If you’re interested in one of those spots we can grab your payment information on the call.”

(This isn’t the best sales script just spitballing, but you get the idea)

The idea is to push the conversation towards them physically paying on the call. Then you can get to their real objection. Obviously don’t over do it but don’t be afraid to sell. That’s your job. And if you get a no, it’s better a fast “no” so you can move on. As opposed to a slow “no” that you’re waiting on.
