I got side swiped by a scooter the other day on my shine (also activa, I think).
The engine guard took the brunt of it, thank God, but the tank and the honda emblem on the bike had blemishes. I thought they wouldn't clean up, maybe I scratched paint. But they did and it's fine really. But I panicked and was on the verge of an emotional outburst. A friend who was pillion at the time of the accident was like, why do you care so much, it's not like your Duke got damaged. That angered me a bit. I love my shine more if not equally. That has been there for longer and has a deeper value for me. I refused to sell it when the idea was floated after I bought the Duke and still to this day maintain it like a queen. I don't care if it's 6 years old, beaten up, on its last legs. It gets me places, it's mine. I value it.
