Honestly, I believe a lot of these comments are actually from fake IDs. I mean yeah things must be bad (don't know as I am in the UK), but even in the UK, I see white people are quite friendly towards most immigrants. And the ones that are hate filled, don't even target any community - They hate everyone.

A lot of anti-muslim hate in the UK in name of white people, actually stems from RSS funded bot accounts from India. I suspect the same for this rising "canadian sikhs hate" as well.

Secondly yes, Canada is in political turmoil. Recession is coming. Hence things are getting racist and bleak. Moreover, the world is a lot more divided now.

Due to the Israel-Palestine conflict, a lot of muslim commenters are spreading hate towards Indians, and sikhs despite mostly being neutral bear the brunt. Then there is RSS-BJP anti sikh narrative. Thirdly, the white supremecist network. Moreover, Indian (and in turn sikh) hate is so normalized, that even Asians, Hispanics and black people comment a lot of filth about us and face no repurcussions.

But Touch grass. Outside of internet echo chambers, these idiotic keyboard warriors are not dangerous. And the dangerous ones are few and far in between. So stay safe.
