Honest Thoughts of Rohit Sharma fans on the PR scandal?
He was only saving face in the recent "scandal". It spawned a lot of funny memes, but there's nothing "evil" about it. Surely embarassing tho.
But it's not "pretty obvious" that Rohit used his PR to tarnish Virat, Hardik or Gambhir. In fact there's no evidence for it apart from some tinfoil hat crazy theories.
What's pretty obvious is that the dressing room environment was perfect in the last 2 world cups under Rohit. The "victims" of the PR wars were the MVPs and Virat has been tired of saying that there os no feud between them. He is respected by everyone in the cricketing fraternity. Kuldeep Yadav defends him "abusing" teammates on field, Ashwin says that he would be ready to give his life for Rohit, Dravid would miss Rohit as a person more than a cricketer. I have not heard a single person say *anything* negative about his character. Except for the armchair experts on reddit of course.
All these things wouldn't happen if Rohit really were such a toxic personality who tarnishes others' reputation for his own gains, and leaks the dressing room talks, compromising the privacy of the players. He would not be respected AT ALL by his teammates, and we would have been embarrassed in the last 2 world cups owing to a toxic environment.
Apply some common sense here if you really want to judge Rohit as a person. Virat has his PR mouthpieces in the commentary(Ravi Shastri) where's the outrage for that? -

Which two players should be in the Playing XI for India in the Champions Trophy 2025?
Bc if there's a player who ALWAYS gets to be in the scheme of things without ever performing in the format it's Pant. Bc t20 aur One Day me jhaat nahi ukhada hai, par HAR BAAR tournament se pehle Pant Pant Pant ka shor mach raha hota hai.

Honest Thoughts of Rohit Sharma fans on the PR scandal?
I am a neutral fan of Indian cricket team not of an individual player. I think this is a reality we have to live in now. Many players would now have a PR and every activity of theirs would be dictated by their PR managment.
I think as long as they perform, I have no issue with their trending tags on twitter/X or instagram.
My only issue being the player not being treated as bigger than the whole team. Because, I believe it leads to difficulty in coaches not being able to substitute them for certain matches with a newer player.
That's all my thoughts. I believe at the end of the day, fans are able to differentiate between the player and the team. -

Glad to see him walk, he has had lots of surgeries cos of his passion towards bikes, and cars. He’s one of the only few who can be called as a gentleman in the movie business.
Fun fact: he assembles RC helicopters and flies in his free time and even during shooting. A great guy -
