Sports isn't encouraged in schools nowadays... Earlier many catholic schools had focussed on sports. That's not the case now.. That along with lethargy among students is killing sports. Kids nowadays are mostly into Instagram, buying branded clothes, loitering. Can't blame them considering the "Playgrounds" aka fields, open lands are all now filled with buildings

You already have answered your own question. A superhero needs to transcend the boundary of realism. But that boundary is already breached by our heroes. A kick by Allu Arjun, Salman, Rajnikant has the same impact as spiderman punch or captain America's kick. That leaves flying as a power that our superheroes can do what our heroes don't. So flying/jumping long distances is a common trait for all indian superheroes.

What they can really do is invest in a proper story but that also doesn't guarantee return on investment.

Marvel and DC have been there for almost a century. What we see today is fruit of 100 year old tree. We haven't invested enough yet.
