First time I met a person from Chennai, and when he came to know that I am from North, he literally asked me in hindi - "Khaan Se?". Another time, I asked someone in Mumbai about something (in Hindi), he could have replied me in English or told me to fuck off but instead he spoke in broken hindi and replied me. Language is/was made for human connection and collaboration, and should be used as such. Almost majority of the people are just nice, few dunces don't have anything positive going in their lives and they get the maximum attention bandwidth as people are attracted to negativity

If you want Hindi in our state, adopt our languages in your states. Reciprocation is needed. Don't come with lame arguments like Hindi is national language, everyone should learn Hindi or you're fine with foreigners language English but not with our own language Hindi etc etc. We learn English because of utility it provides in multiple dimensions. The only reason we would want to learn Hindi is if we move to North. We don't want to learn Hindi just so that people coming here could not learn local languages. If it's hard for someone from North to learn south language, it's as hard for someone from South to learn Hindi. Respect our language and culture and don't impose your language on us.
