Bengalore to Bengaluru, Gurgaon to Gurugram are also examples of reverting to original names and discarding british influenced names and weird spellings. Personally I see nothing wrong with rejecting invaders' names. I do condone the method, and I do also condone targeting a specific religious group. But then again this religious group in question has also showed interest in treasuring all things Mughal and don't wish for the rejection of these names/influences.
