Firslty no one wants anyone to speak Hindi. I am a north Indian and I respect languages from each state. Actually the language is the main identity for its people and the state. Hindi imposition is coming from the local parties and Congress cos they struggle to win elections. Every party has its own set of idiots. North / South divide started because of Congress trying to break both sides. Divide and rule.
North are fine with themselves. They hate each other. Beleive me, they don't need anyone else. But one needs to be proud about their culture and also respect all regions.
