As a 45 year old I chose the speed 400 to get back into biking after I sold my unused 180 rtr (7.5k driven in 9 years) in 2021 because,

1) The price to power ratio was solid

2) Sedate but powerful, I don't like the aggressive tune of the Dukes.

3) Why not RE? The Guerrilla is a sweet bike but not launched when I picked up the Speed, the Twins I didn't consider because of how heavy they are. The 350 class I will not touch with a 100 foot bargepole.

4) I loved the showroom experience. It's very nice, unlike the TVS, Bajaj experience which is like a fish market

5) I really really considered the Jawa 42 bobber but a 45 min TD convinced me that am too old for the suspension.

The most important thing?

6) the bike itself. So refined, so flickable , can easily do short city runs or a nice long 200 km stretch without breaking a sweat.

The only regret is the stupid console. It's barebones and despite putting 5k km on it I still search for the speedometer and get confused with the Tachy. Utterly regarded UI and design
