Almost half of the women I see in my opd are anemic. There are still parts of the country where parents prefer to give their sons a more nutritional diet . You must've seen in some houses where only the males of the family eat non vegetarian food. Then again there's factors like common vitamin deficiencies, which are now becoming common in men too. Indian women face additional challenges due to lower calcium intake from diet and vitamin D deficiency. And skeleton of a female loses a lot of bone mass as she ages.


Indian women, particularly in rural areas, often engage in physically demanding tasks, but a lack of structured exercise or sports participation can limit muscle development. Household chores is not exercise. And not to forget the fad diets. Women have more pressure to look a certain way but young girls don't realise that a better looking body can ne achieved by exercise

Urban lifestyles, on the other hand, often lead to sedentary habits, contributing to reduced physical fitness.
