    You can either be upfront and say you can’t lend (always the best option) or do what I do in these cases. I have a government bank account in which I keep 1000 rupees, just the lowest number. If a friend asks for money, I send them a screenshot of that account.

    There are a few people who I will give any amount of money but rest of them get the screenshot.
