I have a very funny story regarding this.

I’m 24, I have bought my first car about 1 year ago. It’s a 21 year old Accord.

I had a lot of people tell me and warn me about the poor fuel efficiency I’ll be getting with that car and have asked me not to get it.

I didn’t really care about it as to me, the money I’ll be saving compared to a new car with the same performance is going to be used for fuel and I’m okay with it.

Not to mention, I’m privileged enough to afford the fuel and maintenance so I didn’t care.

Another friend of mine, he was also getting his first car. He constantly told me to not get the Accord and kept reminding me of its low mileage and asked me to get a Sonet instead.

Cut to today, he got a Sonet Turbo DCT for almost 15L on loan and I got an Accord for 2.4L.

The look on his face when his Sonet returns him 6-7kmpl in Bangalore city, the exact same as my Accord. While my Accord is faster, more comfortable and has more space.

This is not even counting the 13L extra he’s paid for the car, with a vibraty 3 cylinder engine and barely any space at the back.

That’s 13L extra I’ve saved that I can easily use to fuel and maintain the Accord for the next decade and a half.

Needless to say, he regrets buying that car to this day.

People who are putting in money need to see the potential in real life not in your presentation deck

If it’s still in the ideation stage, nobody will come forward. So manage somehow to build a prototype and show the potential of the product/service to investors

She’s not wrong, a lot of times hookup does mean to just meet. We don’t use it that way in India often, but it can be used to mean an informal meet. Maybe you should expand your language skills a bit.
