Trump is a convicted felon, but he got off scot-free. It's a travesty.
This is just not right. It makes a joke out of the justice system, incites disrespect towards authority, and incites revolts. -
Meta Shareholder Calls for Bitcoin to Preserve the Company's $72 Billion Cash Reserves
tldr; A Meta shareholder, Ethan Peck, has proposed that the company allocate a portion of its $72 billion cash reserves to Bitcoin. The proposal argues that Bitcoin could serve as a hedge against inflation and enhance shareholder value due to its strong performance compared to traditional assets. Peck highlights Bitcoin's significant returns and Meta's indirect exposure to crypto through BlackRock. The proposal aligns with a broader movement advocating for corporate Bitcoin adoption, though similar initiatives have seen mixed results at companies like Microsoft and Amazon.

‘Was This Fair?’ People Behind Bars React to Trump’s Sentencing - The president-elect avoided punishment for his 34 felony convictions, highlighting how the legal system often treats the wealthy and powerful.
The whooooooole system is rigged in favor of the rich. Not just the legal system. Medicine…. Food…. Jobs….. education….. all of it. If you are poor, your job is to do shit for the rich and die before you cost too much. And don’t forget to give back any assets you may have earned when you’re old in order to get health care! Fuck everything 😑 -

How did you find a business/sales cofounder for your startup?
Tech Meetups; troll mult websites for anything foundership or tech related. Intro yourself after every panel/Q&A, stand up and ask a question, after you plug your startup and name the resource your looking for.
Also, be wary of a sales/business lead. Most often these are very different approaches. Biz = PMF, scaling, projections, benchmarks for hiring, expenses, marketing strategies, social media management. Sales = convincing your target customer to give you money.
I hope I don't piss off any sales ppl, but, from those I met, they are very focused, and very skilled at talking to the customer, after the customer has been IDd and the product is live. -
Pete Hegseth Is Unfit To Lead the Pentagon — Pete Hegseth lacks the credibility and experience required to lead a body as massive and as critical as the Department of Defense; his confirmation as secretary of defense would be a major risk to Americans’ safety and security.

‘75 years of benefits enough’: SC says Parliament must decide on reservation quota reform
I feel like people are misinterpreting what SC said or maybe SC intentionally made such statement for people to misinterpret. If classified on identifiable and demonstrable data for the purpose of reservation, reservation will only increase as casteism in India didn't disappear yet. People still treat caste as their identity. -
The MAGA Right’s Plan to Destroy the Fourteenth Amendment
I mean, any attempt to alter or repeal the fourteenth amendment will be met with far too many obstacles for Republicans to succeed. As long as, you know, they don't try to eliminate the separation of powers and restructure the government into some kind of one party system or state.
That being said, it makes sense for Republicans to target the amendment considering it's basically been the cornerstone of civil rights in this country.
It's been cited in literally thousands of cases, and some constitutional scholars argue that it is one of, if not the most consequential amendment in our constitution.
As many of you may know, one of those cases was Brown v. Board of education. Another was Roe v. Wade.
Aside from it being impractical and unfeasible, It's pretty obvious why some Republicans might want to challenge the amendment. Almost every clause protects rights or privileges that Republicans have threatened to invalidate over the years.
The citizenship clause for one, which was meant to negate the Dred Scott decision and establishes birthright citizenship.
The due process clause, which has been invoked often throughout this country's history, and extends protections for Americans from say, a far right, authoritarian regime intending to deprive them of their "life, liberty or property" without due process of law of course.
The equal protection clause, which has been cited in countless cases and has also been the basis for many landmark SCOTUS decisions. As it suggests, the clause ensures equal protection under the law, or in other words, it makes sure that no person or group is denied the same protections under the law that others benefit from, while many of the decisions invoking this clause have addressed things like discrimination based on race, gender, and sexual orientation, as well as broader civil rights protected by the constitution.
Then of course, there's the part of the fourteenth amendment about disqualification from office. It prohibits individuals, like Trump for instance, from holding office if they've engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.
There's also the privileges or immunities clause. Which is, I suppose, a lesser known part of the fourteenth. Its original aim was to ensure that citizens of each state were entitled to the same privileges and immunities as citizens of other states.
Now, put all this together and it becomes obvious why Republicans might want to modify or repeal the fourteenth amendment, especially as they begin consolidating power come next term. -
