I wouldnt want to rat out a friend or a family member. But sometimes there is no other option. Its better to lose your friendship than to lose the person. Its a gamble I dont want people to take. If you so badly want to TRY drugs do it but when you are older. The role that peer pressure plays in your action gets reduced due to you being logical and sensible.

I’m extremely worried about my cousins who are in school currently. There is no way to keep a track on what they are upto. I used to hate when I was a teenager and family members use to pry on my private life. But considering how drugs are becoming an integral part of a normal malayali student’s environment, I am ready to be that relative who puts their nose where it doesnt belong. I will take the hatred, but I dont want to see one of my cousins ending up an addict.

I accept that drugs dont ruin everyone’s lives. 100% true. I know people who are so addicted to weed that it has become their personality, but still they hold such prestigious jobs. But I also know people who did meth, went into depression and pushed away all friends and nearly ruined their lives.
