Govt had announced that Kerala' s fourth IT Park would be in Kannur and that four IT corridors and 20 satellite IT hubs would be established 2022-23 budget itself. Also a 500-acre industrial park is being planned at Mattanur, with another 500 acres to be added, modelled on the Industrial Smart City in Palakkad.

Only a decentralised model will work in Kerala considering the land availability. Infopark and Technopark are almost fully occupied so it natural for govt to consider developing Kannur as a future option.

Saddened to see the pessimistic mentality towards a development initiative. 😓
