Whats with the ppfc hate posts today, there's no f way to know which fund will underperform or do really well.

Ppfc downside protection is proven, if one wants to prioritise this over volatility and returns then there is no harm in having ppfc.

If one is smarter than the fund manager then by all means create your own pf , churn it how you like or just get the fund and manager your investing philosophy aligns.
