There's no way any one would follow this, I have uber charging me Rs.600 from perungudi to mogappair and auto drivers still ask more, if they went by this chart they're screwed.

Part of the problem is that these charts and uber's own pricing mechanism does not take into account chennai's traffic situation, auto drivers get frustrated if they spend too much time in traffic for a measly Rs.200 so they start demanding more to make up for lost sales. For those prices to come down then traffic needs to go down and for traffic to go down the govt needs to bring in a LOT more buses and trains and what not. Right now every single bus I see is overflowing like a sinking titanic with no space for people to board it, so they have to resort to personal vehicles increasing the traffic
