Trump has rapidly advancing dementia. He has lost the capacity to read his base and he seems surprisingly unmoved by sentiment that he has ceded control to Musk. Musk clearly has some sort of hold over him psychologically, and probably some sort of legal leverage.

It’s still not enough people though. 40-50% wanting Musk to fuck off isn’t going to cause MAGA Congress too much pain when 75% of Republican voters in that same poll want Musk as president. Somehow, Republican voters have to wake up and the other chunk of people who are responding “I don’t know” to these polls questions (and thereby passively accepting Musk as president) also need to come to reality.
