1) if you are in highschool/college, you are at an advantage, make the best use of the readymade community you are given.
2) best way to socialise without it feeling daunting is To go to a place where main focus is NOT to socialise, eg. Gym, library, sports academy, there if you arent able to converse you still have something productive to do, because on the contrary cold approaching will always be anxiety inducing for everyone.
3) start with your roommates/classmates, ask for small favours at first and profusely thank them, helps build trust and rapport, then give out favour, help in small minor ways, start saying good morning/evening to teachers/students, and soon you will pick up momentum.
4) if you had done this much the rest is like a sail boat, it will guide you.

MONEY
1) give equal parts importance to 1.Skills 2. Academics, and keen interest in 3. Productive socialising ie. Socialising with people who are better than you career wise.
2) split your time wisely and read the book Millionare fastlane by MJ demarco, a must read for all young people.
3) the book will guide you the rest.

There is nothing you can have as a NEET if you don't have money. And I don't have money and since I lost my health i'm dying like a dog on a side of the street. All in all I should have ended it a long time ago before things declined.
