Why does India seem to not produce test match left handed batsmen at a rate similar to other test playing countries? Initially I thought it must be due to a general subcontinent aversion to left handed people compared to the Western world. But then I realized that isn't true since there are plenty of left handed Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Sri Lankan batsmen. I have heard that if you tried to make an all-time great eleven of Indian test match players who bat left handed it would be weaker than similar eleven's from other countries.
