There’s a new wave of foreigners using India to get views, thought it was nice and can be used as our soft power till i see the comments. Indians are only interacting not foreigners so it’s just the creators using our people for money while India gets nothing in return. -

Why are people thinking that they have right to act like Ishwar?
Without exact context on what exactly they're trying to emulate it's obvious mimicking a deity while still clinging on to identities is simply a consequence of misunderstanding but it's well attested in the Vedas when we chant and do Sandhya rituals that the practitioner has no option but to not consider themselves as limited, each mantra is to be recited with the aim of recognizing the Truth which is to be recognized.
If you check the Sandhya mantras, it contains references to So'ham and other mantras of how even the individual can elevate themselves to realize that which is Bliss/Brahman through rituals, which sort of are like affirmations while simultaneously cultivating right methods and practise in other actions in life for accurate insights to manifest in the mind. Same goes for Tantrik and Agamic approaches, including Vaikhanasa agama what is followed at Tirupati to this day, the priest has to perform a specific ritual even though it feels a bit weird. It is ordained in the Vedas.
Rudram is chanted during every Abhisheka at temples and even a surface level meaning is enough to realize devotee has to rise to the level of Shiva, it includes both spiritual level transcendence and as well material desires getting fulfilled, so it's not really a contradiction to still have the connect with the world while also aiming for Moksha. To succumb to hard determinism that one's actions are predetermined by Isvara is not congruent with the Vedic Dharma because it allows a certain sense of freedom as karma has nondeterministic angles too.
Shankara outright **states in the Vishnu Sahasranama Bhashya** that the devotee who himself is not Vishnu cannot think of worshipping him truly, so one has to become Vishnu and realize themselves as Bhagavan. The idea is simply the exposition of Self as Vishwam - the expanse, this cosmos as blissful reality, so it depends on how a certain teaching is applied. We do have implementation issues across traditions in India, even when it comes to their own rules and regulations. The above explanation will obviously be seen in an antagonizing manner by dualist traditions but that freedom is there in Dharma.
I suggest you not read Jayadeva though because you might feel disturbed to see the liberties he takes. Most Krishna Bhakti traditions owe their allegiance to Jayadeva even though they discard the esoteric and vividly explicit erotic imaginations as symbolic, the main essence of his works. There's no option but to read him literally, not palatable to all though. -
