wtf is left in this city?
If socialization was good before, then how is the lack of alcohol the reason now? There was no alcohol involved from the beginning. I guess the people who used to socialize more were from our generation. Now, we're busy with our careers and families. The newer generation is always on their phones. Just look at the playgrounds, during our time, they were always full, but not anymore.. -

How to overcome Mobile Addiction??
One of my friends got this product called brick. You tap your phone on it, and it blocks all social media, games, etc. It makes your phone do the bare minimum (by 2025 standards): make calls, tell the time, show you texts and emails, and other productive stuff. You'll have to tap your phone on the brick to enable games and social media again. This has allowed my friend to cut down their screen time by almost 9 hours/day.
Perhaps you could give your brick to your parents, so you aren't tempted to take it with you everywhere, and they can remind you to tap to log your apps before you leave for college, work, etc. -

Can someone explain why SCS/ST or any kinda reservation really matter?
I think there is a wide divide between SC/ST people as well.
Some of them took reservations early (60-70s) and reached high positions in IAS etc. These people continue to hog reservations, blocking them for others.
The vast majority are still impoverished and bereft of opportunities. They face violence and humiliation throughout their lives.
I believe that while there is a need for upliftment of SC/ST communities, reservations are a bad medium. When Ambekar brought in reservations, caste was a good guarantor of financial instability (lower castes were guaranteed to be BPL).
That is hardly the case anymore. I think it's high time reservations as a whole were relooked at. However, no political party will dare do this as it is political suicide. -

People are shit in Delhi
I was in a queue, waiting to check in my luggage at an airport. A man very coolly came and went straight to the counter, without a thought. Me and a family who were waiting in line asked him to stand in the queue and wait his turn. The airline staff also came. Instead of listening, he started getting angry at us. The stereotype that Indians have no civic sense most of the time is true.
