In KvK, the wife leaves her husband and son at the film's start and thus, we never get to know her inner turmoil and dissatisfaction from her POV - we only get to know it second-hand from her husband's words. In AHAT, we spend more time with her before and after her marriage and witness her frustration and dissatisfaction building up gradually. Thus we can sort-of understand why she would leave her family even if we may not support her actions.
