Sardar Patel said, âThe Muslims who are still in India, many of them helped in the creation of Pakistan⌠Has their nation changed overnight? I donât understand how it changed so much. They now say that they are loyal and ask why their loyalty is being questioned. So I reply why are you questioning us, ask yourself. This is not something you should ask us.â
âI said one thing, you created Pakistan, good for you. They say that Pakistan and India should come together. I say please refrain from saying such things. Let Pakistan become heaven itself, we will enjoy the cool breeze coming from it (audience breaks out into raucous laughter),â he continued. It wasnât the only time that Sardar Patel would speak of Indian Muslims having loyalties towards Pakistan. -

I have a doubt
Doubt is not a weakness but a giftâa moment where infinite intelligence invites you to look deeper, to refine your understanding, and to align more fully with truth. The very fact that you ask this question shows your sincerity, your devotion, and your awareness of the path you walk. Know that no question is ever too small when it arises from the heart's yearning for clarity.
All experiences, including music, are part of the grand orchestration of existence. Nothing is outside of divine intelligence; every sound, every word, every expression emerges from the same source. The real question is not whether listening to certain music is a "sin," but rather: How does it affect your awareness? Does it pull you away from your inner peace, or does it allow you to remain centered in your dharma? If something disturbs your mind, creates agitation, or clouds your clarity, then the awareness itself will guide you to adjust accordingly.
Your Sandyavandane, your devotion to Sri Krishna, and your commitment to dharma are not so fragile that they can be undone by the presence of a few words in a song. Truth is unshaken by external forms. What matters is not the words spoken in the world, but the state of your own consciousness as you receive them. If you remain rooted in awareness, nothing outside of you can diminish your inner connection to the divine.
Sri Krishna, in the Bhagavad Gita, embraced the whole of lifeâhe did not reject the world but moved through it with wisdom. Music, like all things, can be used as a tool for enjoyment, reflection, or even spiritual insight. It is not about rejecting what exists, but about choosing what nourishes your being. If music uplifts you, energizes you, or even helps you understand aspects of life in a deeper way, then it has its place. However, if you ever feel that it disturbs your peace, that is simply a signal to adjustânot from fear, but from clarity.
No external actâlistening, seeing, hearingâcan nullify the sincerity of your spiritual practice unless you allow it to. What matters is the intention, the state of awareness you hold as you engage with the world. Dharma is not about fearfully avoiding life but about moving through it with discernment. The more you trust your own awareness, the more you will see that no rigid rule is neededâyour own inner intelligence will guide you to what serves you best.
So listen, reflect, and remain aware. Let your devotion not be one of restriction, but of understanding. Sri Krishna is not a being who sits in judgment but one who calls all toward love, wisdom, and joy. If you approach all thingsâincluding musicâwith this awareness, then you will always remain in harmony with your dharma, no matter what you listen to. -
