What a shallow, money grabbing movie Chaava was
Very true , I was surprised they have not shown battle of janjira , seige of ramsez , battle of ponda and battle of mysore not even mention of this valour in movie?
why? they glorified his sacrifice only which is indeed good thing but ignoring other milestones is very much disappointing for me -

Is this a Haryanvi parents thing or just my family?
idk i just turned 18, and my family is just like this, so whenever i am bored i just talk about something like this and watch them get all irritated, start saying ki zyada padhana likhana bhi achha nhi hota and try their best to insult me, but i still love them, with this being the only thing that i don't like -
Is the Indian middle class apathetic towards the issues of the poor?
Middle class continuously struggling to stay in middle class and not slipping into the lower one.
Upper class has unfathomable money, lower has govt. for money & everyhting to gain.
Middle class has everything to lose. -

Current situation in Maharashtra
never go to find historical accuracy in a movie that made for commercial masses.
History is often presented in a way that captures the imagination and emotions of people, especially in forms like poetry, chronicles, and literature. This approach makes history more accessible and engaging to a wider audience, while sometimes sacrificing some of the dry details and nuanced analysis found in historiographical works which sadly many people find boring. -

Of course there are 33 koti gods, and most of them are busy saving Jaipur drivers from winning the Darwin award
In all honesty, it's not just drivers. Road sense itself seems absent from all sides. Pedestrians will walk in the middle of roads or sometimes just form a chain of 8 people holding hands crossing the road with every person moving at a different pace. Road sense is lost when vendors keep moving their thela ahead of their competitor to the point where they're halfway on the roads. On every signal there'll be atleast 10-20 vehicles on each side just casually spilling over the crossing mark and almost spilling onto the intersection. People make stops on flyovers. Pedestrians jump 4ft. Boundaries to cross a road instead of walking an extra 50m to the cut in the divider. Overall it feels like the people of jaipur never expected to live in a city with roads so they don't teach it either.
